Carfentanil: A Deadly Threat

Carfentanil is an extremely powerful synthetic opioid that is not approved for human use. It is estimated to be 10,000 times stronger than morphine and 100 times stronger than fentanyl. It may be found in counterfeit pills that look like legitimate prescription medications, and even a tiny amount can be fatal.

If you suspect an overdose, call 911 immediately. Normal doses of naloxone (Narcan) may not be effective, and multiple doses may be needed while waiting for emergency medical care.
