Join us for a morning of hope, healing, remembrance, and community as we come together to honor loved ones, support one another, and raise awareness for suicide prevention.
The R.I.S.E. Suicide Prevention & Remembrance Walk is more than a walk—it's an opportunity to remind one another that no one has to face life's struggles alone. Whether you have experienced the loss of a loved one, are walking in support of someone who is struggling, or simply want to help bring hope to others, your presence matters.
Event Schedule
📍 Custer Lutheran Fellowship
12622 US Hwy 16A
Custer, South Dakota
-
7:00 a.m. – Registration Opens
-
8:15 a.m. – Walk Begins
Together we'll enjoy a peaceful walk around the beautiful shoreline of Stockade Lake, taking time to reflect, remember, encourage one another, and celebrate the lives that continue to inspire us.
Whether you're walking in memory of someone you've lost, supporting a friend or family member, or simply standing alongside your community, every step helps send a powerful message:
Hope is real. Help is available. You are never alone.
"Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is simply show up—for ourselves and for each other."
We hope you'll join us as we walk together, remember together, and continue the important conversation about mental health, hope, and healing.
Together, we can make a difference—one conversation, one connection, and one step at a time.
Memorial Buttons
We invite you to honor someone special with a memorial button during the walk. If you would like a memorial button created for a loved one, please complete the memorial button request form and email it (along with a photo and the name of your loved one) We'll have your button ready for you before the walk begins..
